Built up BlogCatalog for Traffic

blogcatalogI started to play around with BlogCatalog after I get bored with MyBlogLog. I’m still active in MyBlogLog but there is not much interesting things can be done there. Compare to BlogCatalog, I think there are lot more activities carry out by bloggers. So what can we do after signing up BlogCatalog? It’s not just traffic we get from BlogCatalog. We can exchange links, exchange RSS feeds and lots more. Here are the few things that I?m working on with BlogCatalog to fully utilize their services.

  1. Add all my blogs into BlogCatalog for approved. Install BlogCatalog Widget to my blogs. Setup my feeds, blog details, tags and tumbshots.
  2. Join as many groups as possible.
  3. Join other neighborhoods.
  4. Make as many friends as possible.

That’s pretty much that I can think of what to do with BlogCatalog. It’s not a one time work and I need to practice it daily in order to get some traffic to my blogs. I got good results when I work on MyBlogLog, so I trust that BlogCatalog will bring the same results too.

The best thing that I like about BlogCatalog is the Groups features. There are no limits on how many groups you can join daily. There are some groups that required approval from the owner and that you need to wait. A lot of the groups are created for the purpose of exchange links, exchange rss feeds, stumble upon each other, digg, vote, built Technorati favorites, reviews blog and many more. All you need to do is just participate to any groups that suit your needs. This is the part that makes it better then MyBlogLog. There is also a discussion area but I think this is enough to keep me busy for the moment.

    Kumo..

Totally agreed with you. I found that Mybloglog is not so friendly featured or i should say it not so social community site for bloggers. Hope that they can upgrade their features so that we can get connected with other bloggers well.

Yes, Blogcatalog is the best so far..

I was hoping for some improvement after Yahoo bought MyBlogLog, and I’m still waiting for that to happen.

I don’t think they would upgrade their site so soon. Yes me too expected for some changes when Yahoo bought it. But it seems that nothing happened so far.

Wait till 2008, who knows? 🙂
