I have been thinking for this question for quite some time. Either work for my whole life or retired early. I have seen some old folks that retired at the age of 55. After that they have nothing better to do but having conversations at the coffee shop or watch TV all day long. They have children and grandchildren that love them very much. They just enjoy their life being lazy and doing nothing. To me I think that’s a bit unhealthy. I rather prefer to have a job that keeps me busy. Having to take a break forever sounds like a complete rest from living. When you are over the age of 50, every part of your body starts to shut down slowly. If you stop exercise your body, then the shut down process will move faster. That means if you just watch TV after retired, then you are shutting down your body at high speed.
Keep your body healthy and in good shape by not having a retirement. Well, you can retire form your company but not from working. By then you should be able to work for fun or your health and not for the income. Just keep on doing something that you like. Having to work with a little bit of responsibility and pressure will be fine. If not you might not continue it after few weeks.
As a blogger, I plan to keep on blogging until I lost the interest or I’m too old to move my finger. Even if I do earn a great deal of money form blogging, I’ll still continue. I might take a break to enjoy or relax but I’ll still return. I’m blogging now because I like it and I enjoy doing it. I plan to do it until the end or at least I’m still having fun with it. At least for now, I never thought of retiring from blogging.
