One of the best ways to make money online is try not to make money

In other words, don’t do it for the money. Do it because it is interesting and you are having fun. If you are setting up a blog or website hoping that money will start pouring in automatically, you will be disappointed. People who drop by your blog or website will sense it. Your blog or website will be categorized as “This is just another site with lots of advertisement and trying to sell certain product”. Once readers have this impression, they will move on to other website or blog without looking back.

So how do we actually make money online without trying to make money? Well, first of all don’t promote any product. Don’t sell any product. Don’t put up any advertisement if you are just starting to build your website or blog. Show your interest towards a topic by doing review or discussion with detail data and statistic. This will attract readers with similar interest. Once your website or blog starts receiving comments or emails, take the time to reply them. This will show that you are interested in interacting with readers. Continue doing this for few months and you should be able to gather some traffic to your website or blog.

Once you’ve reached this point. It is time to upload some advertisements or trying to sell some products that matches the topic or interest of your website or blog. While doing so, try not to cover the whole page with advertisement or banners. You don’t want to annoy your readers by getting in the way of what they are trying to read. You want them to feel that you are just trying to make some money just to cover the cost of hosting service without forcing them to check out the advertisement or buying any products.

Remember that as long as people are checking out your blog or website, you definitely have the chance to make money. So try to attract as many readers as you can instead of pushing them away by annoying them with advertisement and banners.
