How do we get more things done by working less?

We can be a very busy person by doing a lot of work. But that does not mean that we are able to get a lot of things done. In other words it is not efficient. It is a waste for company if you are claiming over time but still unable to get things done. We should be aiming to get more things done by working less because it is not just benefits the company but to your own self too. We only have 24 hours per day. If you are unable to get things done, time will never be enough even if you are getting 36 hours per day.

So how do you get things done by working less? First you need to focus when you are working. In order to do so you need to get rid of all the distraction surrounding. Your phone and emails can discontinue your work at any time constantly. Put them away while you are trying to complete your task.

Exercise regularly so that you have a healthy body and sharp mind. This is very important because it increase and maintain the time which you are able to focus and concentrate. When your body is not in a good shape, it is easy to become tired. When you are tired, you will lose focus and concentration on work.

Eat healthy and on time. Don’t ever skip meals no matter how busy you are especially breakfast. A lot of people tend to have coffee only before going to work in the morning. How are you supposed to have the energy to work if you are not feeding your body? It is alright to skip dinner but not breakfast because it affects your performance whole day.

Get proper rest no matter how busy you are. If you are feeling tired or stress out, stop and take some rest. You won’t be able to work properly when you are tired and stress out, so it is best to take the day off and rest. You will start fresh next day in the morning and back in your best performance. You want to stay in your best performance continuously so that you can continue to be efficient. In order to do that you need proper rest when required.
