Google Mobile Ads will Perform Best at Mobile Site

What is the difference between normal blog and a mobile site? Initially I thought if I can just make my blog viewable by installing a WordPress addon to fit into the small mobile display, everything will works the same just as viewing my blog on a normal laptop. I was wrong. A blog which is design and created base on 14 inches will have a hard time squeezing content into a 2.3 inches display. The addon has no problem making the adjustment but the browsing experience via smartphone will not be that great. The reason is obvious because we design and post based on 14 inches of display. We only consider readers experience from using laptop or desktop but never from 2.3 inches display of smartphone. As smartphone users’ behavior, expectation and surfing method is different. Some blogs might receive poor mobile web experience. As a conclusion, if you really want to create a good quality mobile site with great web surfing experience, you still have to do it via 2.3 inches display and test it out using a smartphone.

Is it really that important and significant when deciding to create a normal blog or a mobile site? Well, I suppose Google is going to make it so. According to the blog post title “Mobile website optimization now factors into mobile search ads quality” from Google Mobile Ads Blog, Google will be introducing mobile optimization site as a new factor of ads quality for AdWords campaigns that are driving mobile search traffic. Ads which have mobile optimized landing pages will perform better in Adwords. The changes will significantly separate a normal blog or website with a mobile site.
